Task: Create a States of Matter slideshow.


1. Save 6 images to the iPad Photo Library (See attached sheet for instructions.) You need pictures of 2 solids, 2 liquids and 2 gasses.
2. Open the Animoto app.
3. Tap the Gear ACCOUNT icon in the bottom right hand corner.
4. Tap LOGIN.
5. Login with the username GESANIMOTO+1@gmail.com and password STUDENT.
6. Tap CREATE VIDEO
7. Tap the ^ (Video Tools) in the bottom right hand corner.
8. Change the STYLE if desired.
9. Change the SONG if desired. (Tap the Play icon to the left of the song title to preview it.)
10. Tap ADD PHOTOS.
11. Tap CAMERA ROLL
12. Tap the 6 images you previously saved.
13. Tap DONE.
14. Arrange the pictures by dragging and dropping so that each pair of pictures is together.
15. Tap VIDEO TOOLS.
16. Tap ADD TEXT.
17. Type “States of Matter” for your Heading and your group names for Subheading.
18. Tap ADD TEXT.
19. Drag the title slide in front of all your pictures.
20. Tap VIDEO TOOLS again.
21. Tap ADD TEXT again.
22. Type an explanation slide for the solids. Heading “Solids”. Subheading “Have a definite shape and size” (You’ll notice that you are limited to 22 characters for the Heading and 30 characters for the Subheading.)
23. Tap ADD TEXT.
24. Drag the Solids slide in front of the solids pictures.
25. Repeat steps 17-19 for Liquids and Gasses.
26. Tap PREVIEW.
27. Name your video “Group ”.
28. Tap CONTINUE EDITING if you want to make changes.
29. Tap PRODUCE to render your movie.
30. While your movie is rendering, brainstorm ways to use this app in the classroom and the WICR instructional strategies that it could be used with.
31. Once the video has finished rendering, tap SHARE below the video preview.
32. Tap EMAIL IT.
33. This will open an email message. Address it to Amy and tap SEND.
